My friend Garland Bare speaks in a letter to the editor (Globe, June 15) to urge us to care about the fate of his birth land, Tibet. Good for Garland Bare.
But even more important to the United States than the fate of Tibet is the fate of the United States of America. Our future is jeopardized. We’re putting ourselves in worse trouble day by day. It is not possible to borrow ourselves out of debt. The “stimulus” borrowing is ruining the nation’s future. And WE should try to help Tibetans? I wish we could!
