Voices: Think for yourselves
Saturday’s Globe edition Oct. 31 article, “We want equality for everyone,” needs to be evaluated to the fullest degree.
I have never had a problem recognizing a person of a different race as equal with me. The word “equality” in today’s definition, especially under this president, has taken on a dangerously new dimension. If you criticize this president, you are “racist.” If you don’t agree with this administration, you are “un-American.”
In the article, there were “joyful reactions to the election of Barack Obama as president.”
The “Fairness Doctrine” will cause every religious broadcast to go off the air. If the health bill passes, abortion will be the norm and our taxes will pay the bill. If the elderly have a catastrophic condition, bureaucratic Washington panels will direct their demise. Check it out.
“I was thinking I’d never live to see the day; I never expected it to happen in my lifetime. I was very proud that night.” Do we really understand what has happened? Do we understand where we are being led?
Think for yourselves! Don’t let Obama think for you. He downplayed the “Tea Bag Protesters” as “minimal.” If you watched the reporting, you know different.
I’ll follow a man, if he is right. Obama isn’t.
