The local yokels almost immediately extend the town limits to include the bypass. Next they start issuing permits for old and new businesses on the street with the traffic. In time they cut in new streets and install stoplights. Any way you look at it, it seems to be a form of grand theft as their contribution to the bypass was minor compared to that of others. That is not the end of it. The old part of town seems deserted and they proceed on a process to get money from others to put in new street lights, new street surfaces, new sidewalks and building refurbishing. It doesn’t matter if one’s uncle gets to do the work, it is not a best use of public money. Hodgen O. Patrick Stark City
