Your View: What an insult

SARCOXIE, Mo. — Maybe voters don’t have good memories, but it seems Donna Brazile, senior Democratic strategist and contributor to CNN and ABC news, would like us all to assume from her Sept. 10 column in the Globe that former President Bill Clinton so masterfully presented himself as a person who did not ever tell a mistruth — including “I did not have sex with that woman” — while he was the president.

Brazile compared Clinton with our most favorite and beloved baseball players Sandy Koufax and Joe DiMaggio, masterfully quoting none equaled him in this master of a speech.

But more important, Clinton gave his certification as no one else is in a position to do.

I’m not sure, but last time I saw him, Clinton had not been given wings or a baseball. Some of us knew and watched Koufax pitch. What an insult to him, a baseball hero who was not given his talent but earned it with hard work and the good old American spirit.

Sorry, Donna, I just don’t have enough imagination to believe the “stay the course” with Obama article is anything but a lot of blowing in the wind from a very shallow commentator maybe still in love after all these years with Mr. Clinton.

Don’t feel bad if you don’t understand the wide, sometimes huge, discrepancies in fees hospitals charge for the same procedure. Or if you don’t understand the arithmetical magic the hospitals use to arrive at those fees.
