JOPLIN, Mo. —
Television stations in the area, I totally agree with Keith Bryant’s letter (Globe, Oct. 1, “Viewer Interrupted”).
“Dancing with the Stars” came on this past Monday, new season, first night. And guess what — the scrolling started. “Severe thunderstorm alert in Kansas,” not here in Joplin, but in central Kansas, not even close to Joplin. So it cut down our screen for viewing.
And on top of that, a weather person interrupted twice to talk about what was going on in central Kansas, not in Joplin. I missed programming. And guess what? Nothing ever came of it. No rain or anything.
This is not the first time. So please stop cutting in on prime-time programming with weather issues other than a tornado on the ground.
