Well, now the Republican Party has analyzed its loss in the last election and they have identified the problem — “too old,” “too white,” “too narrow minded.”
This is really getting interesting. John McCain thinks Rand Paul is a “wacko bird” and Sarah Palin goes after Karl Rove. The truth of the matter is that much of the more discerning public has understood this for some time.
What has to be clearly understood is that there is class warfare going on between the wealthier business interests and the middle class. Look how President Barack Obama was castigated for wanting to raise taxes on those making over $250,000 even while Mitt Romney was paying only 14 percent on some of his assets because of the carried interest loophole.
The military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about has come to pass and has siphoned off literally trillions of dollars, all in the name of keeping us safe. A prime example is the history of the Iraq war brought on by the incredible stupidity of the George W. Bush administration, a war that now has an overall cost of some $6 trillion not to mention the 4,500 lives lost. These are the kinds of things that happen when conservatives gain control of the levers of government.
