Your View: Travesty

JOPLIN, Mo. — What a travesty that a terrific young man from Spain is on the verge of deportation even though he has proven his worth in America (Globe, April 13).

It is so hard to understand why those in the federal government, and their supporters, want to grant legal status to millions of people who came here illegally. The rule of law is pretty straightforward. To ignore that breaking the law is OK is unacceptable. Even the most minor of offenses, such as a parking ticket, come with a consequence. It’s past time to be logical about this. Good luck Carles. You deserve it.
