In regard to “Voices” in the Feb. 20 Joplin Globe, I couldn’t agree more!
Why can’t businesses hire a person to answer their telephone who speaks real American English? I have nothing against these other nationalities except on the telephone. Their lack of pronunciation of American words and we on the other end of the line come to an understanding deadlock!
The telephones that are answered by no one human are just as bad. There is no one to ask questions of and hope to get an answer, so why take up everyone’s time and money?
That’s when I hang up.
