JOPLIN, Mo. —
I have driven through the Joplin downtown area twice in the past week and have not seen any space near the library that would provide an additional 150 to 200 cars to park if a medical school is built there.
This is assuming the needs of a 100 students and the necessary support personnel.
My experience as a student bouncing between a main campus and a professional school makes me think locating the medical school so far from the MSSU campus will result in the needless duplication of resources and personnel, as well as wasted travel time for all involved.
