Voices: Qualified candidate

JOPLIN, Mo. — Aug. 3 is almost here and we in the 129th District have a very important decision to make. Over the course of many years, the representatives of this district have represented our conservative values and established this seat as one of leadership and respect. There is one candidate who I believe possesses these qualities and the ability to continue to keep this seat one of leadership and respect. That candidate is Shelly Dreyer.

The issues Missourians are facing require our elected officials to fight for the people of their district, to defend their rights, and act in their best interest. This will take a person who is driven, energetic, dedicated, but most of all, a person of great character and integrity. Shelly Dreyer has dedicated her life and career to defending citizens’ constitutional rights, fighting for senior citizens’ rights, and through those commitments has established herself as someone who feels people should take personal responsibility for their actions.

The thing I respect most about Shelly is her devotion to her faith and family. Because of that devotion, Shelly, Mark and daughter Marley will go to Jefferson City together and not be separated during the legislative session. As a seventh-generation born and raised Southwest Missourian, Shelly shares our conservative values. She has been consistent in her dedication to true conservative values throughout her life and campaign, and to suggest otherwise would be a false accusation.

Shelly has been endorsed by several organizations that only endorse candidates with conservative values. I am proud to support Shelly to be our next state representative, and I know she is the most qualified candidate to serve our state.
