Your View: Other opinions?

JOPLIN, Mo. — After reading Sunday’s Globe (Feb. 9), I wondered if there was not even a single printable offering willing to consider that Mark Rohr’s firing was not gross misconduct on the part of our council.

I recall that after the failed attempt by the council to fire Rohr in 2013, a list of goals and guidelines for his efforts was generated. Maybe something developed (or didn’t) afterward.

I am reminded of a cartoon of a water bird with a half-swallowed fish in its mouth. The caption reads “Never give up.” I reckon that could apply to either party.
