Your View: Add them to the list

JOPLIN, Mo. — My husband just said he wished someone would get the ball rolling for a recall for those five Joplin City Council members who finally got their way when our city manager was fired. We’ve read all the letters in support of him, and you can add us to that growing list.

Mark Rohr has done a wonderful job in getting Joplin looking better and in showing leadership after our tornado. I keep saying I am so very proud of how our town has bounced back and that you need someone at the helm to get things done like we have seen them get done. That someone was Rohr, and we want to thank him for all he was able to do. We also want to thank Mayor Melodee Colbert-Kean and council members Bill Scearce, Benjamin Rosenberg, Trisha Raney and Jack Golden for showing everyone their true colors.

We only wish Rohr could be reinstated as Joplin’s city manager. Whatever avenues need to be taken, we hope they will be taken soon.
