Voices: Both are deadly

Kelly Maddy’s letter (Globe, Feb. 11) would seem to confirm that marijuana use does indeed affect the development of the frontal lobe of the adolescent brain, particular among males; that portion of the brain being the area related to reasoning and logic.

Holding up the evils of alcohol only serves to confirm that we don’t need to decriminalize yet another drug that affects behavior. Pot or alcohol — both are deadly behind the wheel of a car.
