Kudos to the officers of the Joplin Police Department.

My favorite part of my Monday Joplin Globe is the Joplin court logs. Over the past three weeks, more than 600 motorists have faced the judge for no-brainer stuff.

One thing that’s missing and could be a potential gold mine is lazy or cell phone-using people not using turn signals.

If the chief of police would dedicate one unit to patrol Seventh, Range Line, 32nd and Main streets looking for those violators, substantial revenues could be realized, but also prevent accidents.

Our View: Victims should come first
Millions of dollars in donations have poured in from around the world since the May 22, 2011, tornado. Those donations represent money from lemonade stands, charity auctions, corporate gifts and celebrity checks, just to name a few. In fact, one year later donations continue to come to Joplin.
