Voices: No time for politics

We read that oil again is going up in price. This despite the fact that there is no evidence of rise in demand, and storage facilities are almost full.

The investors are making sure that their money will bring fantastic returns by keeping the rest of us shelling out to be able to go to work and go shopping. This country needs to get away from oil.

There are reserves of natural gas that could be used to bridge the gap to a different energy source. The oil companies and their political pawns are not going to like that, but we cannot rely on our “allies” in the Middle East to make oil reasonably available. It is time to quit playing politics with this.
