Voices: Disgraceful

Some of the rental properties in Neosho are downright disgraceful to their neighborhoods.

Denying a duplex on South Lincoln after letting an apartment complex to be built next to the railroad tracks out by the underpass on Route D is spot zoning. So much for quiet zones so apartments can be free of noise.

Rentals are supposed to be rented to single-dwelling families. That is a joke. Yards need mowed and there is trash all over the yards. Where is the enforcement? This also hurts neighborhood property values.

If you have rental property, then you should take care of it. Ask yourself if you would like to live next to one of your rental properties.

People should be appointed to this board other than those who have a vested interest. This is a shame and blight in our town.

Something needs to be done about it soon, otherwise whole neighborhoods will be affected.
