Your View: Great year for Sarcoxie

Area pools ready for plunge; Schifferdecker opening still to be announced

Though this week’s mild temperatures may not signal swim season, most area pools are ready anyway. And, the mercury should rise a little this weekend to help those anxious to dive in. Highs will be in the low 80s today and Sunday. There is a chance for isolated thunderstorms on Monday, but the thermometer should hit 82 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Your View: Great year for Sarcoxie

JOPLIN, Mo. — The Sarcoxie Bears had another great game recently, 35-7. They got a small spot under high school football reports.

They have only lost two games this season. The front page of the sports section was all about Webb City — big pictures and all. It would be nice to have other schools with that kind of coverage. Even Galena made the second page — pics and all.

Sarcoxie has really done great this year, but I haven’t seen anything in the Globe.
