Your View: Efforts appreciated

JOPLIN, Mo. — I wanted to write to commend the Joplin Special Road District on the great job they do to keep our roads clear.

I live in the Reinmiller and Saginaw area of southeast Joplin. These past two ice storms and snowstorms were difficult to get around in but they were out early and had our roads clear so we and our neighbors could get to work and school as needed.

It was a great relief to see they were out allowing us to get to our destinations. We know it is difficult for them to get everywhere they need to go when bad weather strikes, but we want them to know we appreciate their efforts.
