I am a volunteer for the Kelly Maddy campaign and am frustrated by the recent thefts of yard signs.
This shows a disrespect for the democratic process and volunteers’ time as well as hard-earned contributors’ funds. Let’s not be unscrupulous, please. There are so many other ways to show an opposing point of view than stalking around in the night stealing signs.
Whether it be a random act of thievery or an attempt to thwart the campaign, I ask whomever is responsible to be mindful of where the signs come from and of the people who are volunteering their time to put them up.
