Your View: Municipal mess musings

JOPLIN, Mo. — The inquisitor hired for a specific scope of work by the City Council should be paid only for work related to that assignment. Public funds should not be expended for work performed and reported on outside of the authorized scope of investigation.

The idea that all City Council members be subject to a recall election has merit. All members of the council, given the self-inflicted mess they are in, should support a public appeal for a recall and consider it a vote of confidence.
