For the last month, I have noticed that cars are being stopped day and night, at an exceeding rate, either by the Joplin Police Department, the Webb City Police Department, the Jasper County Sheriff Department or the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
I was stopped and the officer said they stopped me because my license plate light was out (it was) no ticket was given. So, why stop me? Could the reason be because of the decrease in tax revenue. I don’t understand how this works. If a ticket is written, does that department receive some revenue off of it?
Just thought I would bring this up and wondered if anyone else has noticed the increase of stops.
