I am writing this letter to inform your many readers that the students, teachers and staff at Diamond High School need to be recognized on behalf of the area veterans.
The student council sponsored the annual veterans recognition with breakfast and lunch, and a program to honor the men and women who protect this wonderful country we live in. The student body every year always shows the utmost respect for our military past and present.
How proud I was watching and taking this all in and sitting there next to my husband, who is retired from the Army after 20 years of service. Sometimes I get a little discouraged with our government and not understanding a lot of the decisions that are made. But one thing I do know is we still have a future generation to be proud of and still fight for.
God bless Diamond High School for its continued support of our past and present troops. Keep up the good work. Ronnie and I are so proud of all of you.
