Empire District Electric is asking the Public Service Commission for a 19.6 percent increase in electric rates so they can buy into other power plants.
Now, Missouri American Water Co. is requesting an 18 percent increase in water rates. Next it will be MGE Gas. When and how do the people request a reduction of rates from the PSC? It seems as if the PSC is on the payroll of the utility companies.
