Concerning the editorial “Let debates commence” (Globe, Nov. 24), we might bear in mind that the Senate debates will be between 60 who voted yes in favor of an expensive and foolish experiment in socialistic medicine for the United States, and two-thirds as many who already oppose it.
With the votes already sure, Democrats can pass legislation opposed by most citizens. The only hope voters have is that enough Democrats will listen to their constituents and defeat government takeover of health care in this nation.
Most voters have little hope that anything good will come from the debates for which you have such high hopes.
