JOPLIN, Mo. —
There are probably almost as many poor Republicans as poor Democrats, because there are 28 Republicans for every 31 Democrats. If poor Republicans can get voter IDs, poor Democrats can too.
Maybe Bill Clinton couldn’t have cleaned up Bush’s mess in four years, but he would have done a better job than Obama. Bill had to get around Newt Gingrich to work with Republicans in Congress. Newt was just as bad as the Archduke of Just Vote No.
If Mitt Romney hadn’t converted to “severe conservatism,” he would have walked right over Obama. Has Mitt truly converted? Well, it’s like what Nancy Pelosi had to say about foot-thick, blue-dog Democrat care that made Pelosicare 14 percent more expensive — you have to elect him now, and find out later.
Severe conservative Archduke Mitch McConnell needs Todd Akin in the Senate to help him pass the no taxes for plutocrats bill— now that’s severe conservatism.
Akin is spreading fairy tales about things he knows he can’t do. The Archduke isn’t fakin’ like Akin, he doesn’t need the approval of three quarters of the states to bankrupt the government.
Paying your debts isn’t charity, it’s morality.
