JOPLIN, Mo. —
I am really impressed with the Democratic Party. It was so heartwarming to hear how terrible they think it is that medical insurance companies can discriminate against people who have pre-existing medical conditions. I am hoping they soon will address the same issue with other types of insurance.
It really isn’t fair to discriminate against people that have automobile accidents. A person should be able to wait until he or she has an accident before buying any insurance.
Similarly, why shouldn’t a person whose house has burned down be able to purchase insurance and be reimbursed for the fire damage?
What’s more, why should they be able to discriminate against dead people? Why can’t a person’s heirs purchase a life insurance policy after that person expires? I am hoping my children will be able to do so, and I have encouraged them to think in terms of a million or more.
By the way, who should come up with the money? Why, the stockholders, of course. Incidentally, I have some insurance stocks that I wouldn’t mind selling. Do you know of any buyers?
