Comedians to raise money for new Stained Glass Theatre

JOPLIN, Mo. — Two comedians will help raise funds for a new theater building for Stained Glass Theatre. Marian Kelly and Kent Rader will be featured in "A Night of Comedy," which will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Church of Christ, located at 2830 Mount Hope Road in Webb City.

Both comedians have a reputation for clean and clever comedy that is inspirational and uplifting.

Kelly is a comedian who has been featured on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," A&E's "An Evening at the Improv" and "Sweet Valley High." She has shared a stage with Tim Allen, Jeff Foxworthy and Christopher Titus.

Rader is also a motivational speaker and author who has been featured on NPR's "Talk of the Nation," Sirius satellite radio and "Who's Laughing Now." He is a winner of the Branson Comedy Festival and the author of "Let it Go, Just Let it Go."

Tickets: $20. Proceeds will go toward the theater's capital campaign for a new building on land donated by Mercy Hospital. Stained Glass Theatre's former building was destroyed in the May 22 tornado.
