Tickets on sale for Memorial Hall shows

JOPLIN, Mo. — Tickets have gone on sale for several upcoming concerts at Joplin’s Memorial Hall.

MercyMe’s  “Lovewell Live in Concert” with special guest Phil Wickham has already sold more than 1,000 tickets. It is slated for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6.

“We have had a huge response from fans about this concert,” said Beth Peacock, events manager for the  parks and recreation department. “If people are interested, great seats are still available and can be purchased online, by phone or in person -- whatever is convenient for them. It has been exciting to see this response. We saw many youth pastors and churches buy large groups of tickets in upwards of 30-plus tickets for their groups. It should be a great event for Joplin.”

MercyMe is a multi-platinum and award-winning band that offers contemporary Christian music. In May, the band released  “The Generous Mr. Lovewell,” which gave the band the highest chart debut of their career. The band’s gold and platinum selling releases began in 2001 with the No. 1 single, “I Can Only Imagine.”

Reserve seating tickets for the concert ranges from $15 to $50. A discount of $5 per ticket is available for groups of 10 or more.

Tickets also are available for Sept. 19 show by former Bad Company lead singer Brian Howe along with the bands Great White and Rolling Thunder. They are $25 plus a $3 service fee.

The Dorians will perform traditional Irish and Celtic music on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Sales also have started for Jim Brickman’s 15th anniversary holiday concert on Friday, Dec. 10. Seats range from $20 to $50.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.joplinmemorialhall.com; Memorial Hall box office, 212 W. Eighth St.; Joplin Athletic Complex, 3301 W. First St.; For All Bible Center at Northpark Mall; Skia in Bentonville, Ark.; or charge by phone at 417-623-3254 or 417-625-4750.
