JOPLIN, Mo. —
Members of Harmony Heights Baptist Church will hold a dedication for their church Sunday, March 3, at 2 p.m. to celebrate the rebuilding of their church that was destroyed by the May 22, 2011 tornado that also claimed the lives of three parishioners.
Pastor Charlie Burnett said that the new $2.8 million, 28,000 square-foot church has brought the church members together since their first service in the new facility on Dec. 23.
“The spirit of the church is really good and he people that remain have been very excited to worship in the new building” Burnett said. “We will take the time to acknowledge those we lost and also look forward to what we have.”
