• The Covenant Children’s Choir and the Sanctuary Choir will present special music at the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 509 S. Pearl Ave.
Presbyterian Women will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The program will be presented by Angi Williams, a Wycliffe Bible translator, who will be returning to Africa soon to serve as a linguistic specialist.

• The first Friday gospel sing featuring Canaan Bound and friends will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Fairview Christian Church, 2320 Grand Ave.
Performers will be Canaan Bound, Duke Mason and the Bryants. The concert is free and open to the public, no tickets are necessary.
The gospel sing is held the first Friday of each month.

• A six-week parenting class on “Have a New Kid by Friday” is being offered at First Baptist Church, 501 W. Market St.
The course by Dr. Kevin Leman will cover how to change a child’s attitude, behavior and character in five days.
Two time options are available for the class. The first session is from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. each Sunday through Feb. 28. The second choice is 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. each Wednesday through March 3.
The cost is $10 per family and includes a workbook. All parents are welcome. Child care will be available.

• Eagle Family Ministries, of Bentonville, Ark., will hold “Making Room for Romance” conferences in Tulsa, Okla., and Branson, Mo.
The retreats are scheduled Feb. 12-14 at Tulsa’s Renaissance Hotel and Feb. 19-21 at Branson’s Hilton Promenade at the Branson Landing. Speakers for the weekend are Steve and Susan Tucker, of Northwest Arkansas, founders of Eagle Family Ministries.
