A Civil War re-enactment play will be performed at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at Joplin Community of Christ Church, 1212 Goetz Blvd.

The Christmas drama will feature professional Civil War actors along with a full set/stage, special effects, lighting and costumes.

It is free and open to the public.

A nut sale is being held by the Fisher’s Class of South Joplin Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 1902 Pearl Ave.

Pecans (halves and pieces), black walnuts and chocolate pecans are available in one pound bags for $9 each. Sugar pecans and roasted pecans also are available in 9 ounce bags for $5 each.

Diamond

A Thanksgiving sing will be presented 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Diamond First Baptist Church, 501 W. Market St.

The concert will feature The Signature Quartet and The Kellys.

Admission is free; a love offering will be taken.

Webb City

First Presbyterian Church of Webb City will hold the 15th annual free community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the church annex, Broadway and Ball streets.

The public is invited.

Webb City Nazarene Church, 10th and Oronogo streets, will observe the Hanging O’ the Greens at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29.

There will be a service of expectation and praise.
