Joplin
• Lone Elm Pentecostal Church of Joplin will welcome the Victorymen for a night of Southern gospel music.
Singing will begin at 7 p.m. today. The concert is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
The church is on Lone Elm Road, 1 1/2 miles north of Joplin.

Alba
• Larry Turner and Danny Byrd will present a concert of gospel music at 6 p.m. Sunday at Alba Christian Church, Main and Hatch streets.
Turner, who grew up in Carthage, started his music career as a music evangelist. He traveled nationally with the Gospel Lads quartet and also served as director of entertainment at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage. He moved to Branson in 2004 to become the emcee at Presley’s Country Jubilee and sing in the quartet. He currently is performing at the Pierce Arrow Theater singing with the quartet.
Byrd performed as soloist for Presley’s Country Jubilee for 17 years. He won the “Wrangler Country Star Search,” beating out more than 60,000 contestants. He also performed in Las Vegas for three years before moving to Branson to perform at Presley’s. While in Branson he has served as praise and worship leader in several churches.

Granby
• A special Christian concert featuring Brian Arnold is slated at 6 p.m. Sunday at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church.
Arnold is a singer, songwriter and inspirational speaker. He currently travels across the country as an evangelist sharing his testimony. An accident left him with an artificial leg and his left arm and hand paralyzed, but he continues to play the keyboard with only his right hand and sing.
He has performed with some of America’s greatest artists, including Roy Clark, Tammy Wynette, Ray Stevens, Jim Stafford, Loretta Lynn, Ricky Skaggs, Roger Miller and Conway Twitty. He also was the lead of the Chosen Few, a gospel quartet at the Silver Dollar City main theater in Echo Hollow.
He will share his testimony and sing at the Granby church concert.
The church is on Highway 59, three miles south of Diamond.
