Support meetings set at Freeman
Several support-group meetings and a pre-natal class have been scheduled by Freeman Health System.
* Today: Stroke support group, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., College View Manor, 3828 College View Drive. Free and open to the public. Details: FHS-1234.
Breast-feeding class, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Conference Room 1W at Freeman West, 1102 W. 32nd St. The class will teach basic techniques such as positioning, latching and pumping. Details: FHS-6667.

St. John’s offers CV risk screenings
A cardiovascular risk assessment and a program on skin screenings will be offered by St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
* Today: Blood-pressure and glucose screening, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Webb City Senior Center. Free and open to the public. Details: 627-8402.
* Friday: Skin screening program, 1 to 4 p.m., Health Connection at Northpark Mall. The presentation will be given by Dr. Derek Towery. Registration is required. Details: 625-2000.
* Saturday: Cardiovascular risk assessment, 8 a.m. to noon, Health Connection. The fee is $99 and includes five screenings — carotids, abdominal aneurysms, cholesterols, bone density and ankle-arm indices. A nurse practitioner will be on hand to discuss results. * Wednesday: Blood-pressure screening, 7:30 to 10 a.m., Health Connection. Free and open to the public.
