St. John’s to offer health screenings

Screenings for blood pressure and cholesterol will be held by St. John’s Regional Medical Center.

Monday: Blood pressure screening, 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the hospital lobby. The screening is free.

Tuesday: Cholesterol screening, Family Care Center, 32nd and Jackson, Joplin. $5 lab draw, fasting recommended. Details, reservations: 417-625-2000.



Freeman schedules support groups, health screenings

Support groups and a screening have been scheduled by Freeman Health Systems.

Monday: Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Support Group, 6 to 7 p.m., Freeman East Chapel, Third Floor, 932 East 32nd St., Joplin. Focus on rehabilitative care that patients may need after release from a hospital. Details: 417-347-4462.
