Amputee support group forming
FORT SCOTT, Kan. — A support group for amputees is being organized in Fort Scott.
Cheryl O’Brien, a BK (below the knee) amputee, is founder of the Amputee Support Group of Southeast Kansas.
The group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Presbyterian Village (lower level), 2401 S. Horton St., Fort Scott.

Mammography screening set
Two Mobile Mammography visits and a free health screening will be offered by St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
• Today: Mobile Mammography, 8 a.m. to noon, St. John’s Maude Norton Hospital, 220 N. Pennsylvania St., Columbus, Kan. Details: 620-429-2545.
• Monday: Blood-pressure screening, 9:30 to 11 a.m., hospital lobby. Free and open to the public.

Screenings and a Girls Night Out event will be offered by Freeman Health System.

Freeman Spirit Girls Night Out, 6 to 9 p.m., conference room at Freeman Business Center, 3220 McClelland Blvd. Event will feature an evening of pampering, seminars, food, screenings and door prizes. Admission is $10 for Spirit of Women members, $25 for non members. Details: 347-3950.
