Smoking class set at Freeman
A blood drive and a smoking-cessation class will be offered next week by Freeman Health System.

St. John’s offers screenings
A variety of screenings are scheduled at St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
Today: Mobile Mammography, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., St. John’s Maude Norton Memorial Hospital, 220 N. Pennsylvania, Columbus, Kan. Walk-ins welcome.
Monday: Blood-pressure screening, 9:30 to 11 a.m., hospital lobby. Free.
Blood drive, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mercy Conference Center.
Tuesday: Cholesterol screening, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., hospital lobby.
The $15 supply fee screening includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, blood glucose and triglycerides. Appointment required.

Center seeking blood donations
Blood donations will be accepted by the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.
Friday: Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Seneca High School Field House, 1110 Neosho St., Seneca.
To be eligible to give, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and present required identification.
