McAuley Catholic evened its boys Ozark 7 Conference record at 1-1 by beating visiting Exeter 63-51 on Monday night.
Shaw Robertson, Adam Robertson and Cole Lowry sparked the Warriors, Coach Randy Robertson said, as they improved to 5-8 overall.
Shaw Robertson, a 6-foot-4 senior, moved past 1,000 career points. He scored 16 to reach 1,015.
Adam Robertson had five treys in scoring 19 points and Lowry had 16 points.
“Shaw also got a ton of rebounds,” Coach Robertson said. “Cole (Lowry) also played well.”
Exeter, which tossed in 10 treys, received 18 points from Austin Johnson and 17 from Kong Lee.
Carl Junction girls 59, Monett 23
CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — Bryce Boyd, Bradyn Wall and Brenlee McPherson combined for 41 points as the Bulldogs won their Big 8 Conference opener.
“It was our best game in a while,” Carl Junction coach Tiffany Dirks said. “We put some things together. It was fun and exciting to watch them (the Bulldogs) play that hard.”
Carl Junction, 4-8 overall, led 43-9 at the half.
Carl Junction sank seven treys with Boyd getting three and McPherson two.
