Joplin was in seventh place in the team standings Friday night after the first three rounds of the Miami Wardog Invitational wrestling tournament.
Wagoner led the tournament with 303.5 points. Miami was fourth and Grove was sixth.
Joplin’s Levi Puckett at 126 pounds pinned all three of his opponents. Danny Drouin at 220 won both of his matches, while Landon Taylor at 182 and Phillip Reitz at 285 won two of three matches.
At the Harrisonville Christmas Tournament, Raymore-Pecular occupied first place in the team standings. Seneca was seventh, Carl Junction was 15th and Webb City was 18th.
Carl Junction’s Nick Koon at 152 pinned two of his three opponents and defeated the other by major decision.
Seneca’s Logan Grady at 145 pinned all four of his opponents. Will Roark at 120 and Jalen Skaggs at 160 won all three of their matches by pin.
Webb City’s Brayden Goff at 160 won three matches by pin, and Tony Carranco at 285 won all three of his matches, two by pin.
At the Kansas City Stampede, Neosho was in a three-way tie for seventh place after the first day. Bettendorf (Iowa) led the team standings. Among Missouri teams, Kearney was fifth with 127 points; Neosho had 124.
Neosho’s River Buttram at 120, Nate Rodriguez at 132, Sam Williams at 152, Jacob Brock at 182 and Christian Lopez at 220 won all of their matches.
