Emily Cook claimed the No. 1 singles title and the Carl Junction Bulldogs cruised to the Big 8 team title on Friday at the Joplin Athletic Complex.
Mount Vernon was second and Lamar was third, followed by Monett and Aurora.
Cook received a first-round bye before beating opponents from Aurora and Mount Vernon for the title.
Carl Junction also got titles from Kenzie Kuykendall in No. 3 singles and Madison Adrian in No. 4 singles. Rebecca O’Hananan (No. 2 singles), Cheyenne Pickett (No. 5) and Kaylie Hawkins (No. 6) each finished third.
Kuykendall and Adrian teamed to win No. 2 doubles. while Cook and O’Hananan and Pickett and Hawkins were both third.
Carl Junction first-year coach Lisa O’Hanahan was named the Coach of the Year.
