SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —
The Joplin boys swimming team finished in seventh place on Thursday at the Southwest Missouri Championships at the Foster Natatorium.
Chris Martucci took third in the 100-meter fly with a time of 55.78 seconds and sixth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.41.
The 200 medley relay team of Martucci, Cameron Ball, Alex Chesney and Michael Swanson was sixth at 1:50.28. Martucci, Ball, Swanson and Ramsey Ramirez were sixth in the 200 free relay while Ramirez, Blake Stearnes, Kyle Dillon and Ryan Grant took 9th in the 400 free relay.
Ramirez was 17th in the 200 free while Chesney was 13th in the 200 medley and 11th in the 100 breaststroke. Swanson was 14th in the 50 freestyle and 11th in the 100 free.
Grant and Casey took 14th and 18th, respectively in the 100 fly while Grant and Ball were 13th and 17th, respectively in the 100 backstroke.
