JOPLIN, Mo. —
“Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage,” a two-part session, will be begin Friday at 7 p.m. in Taylor Auditorium on the Missouri Southern State University campus.
The second session will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the same location.
Presented by Mark Gungor, the course is being offered free to the community. The event is being held to aid in tornado relief. Recognizing that marriages often suffer in the face of disaster, Gungor is providing seminar at no charge.

Longtime Democrat dies at 81
Sapp, 81, died Thursday. Funeral services were Monday at the First Presbyterian Church of Joplin. A longtime Jasper County Democratic committeewoman and volunteer, Sapp for years was secretary to the county’s central committee.
