JOPLIN, Mo. —
Firefighters are now at the scene of a large grass fire this afternoon west of Joplin at the former Route 66 Speedway near 13th Street and Black Cat Road
Bill Dunn, Carl Junction fire chief, said that the fire had spread to tires at the scene.
