Cable One, AMC resolve contract dispute

JOPLIN, Mo. — Joplin fans of "The Walking Dead" won't miss the show -- especially if they are Cable One customers.

The cable network and the AMC Network resolved a contract dispute late Friday to ensure the network will continue to be broadcast by Cable One, according to a press release from Cable One.

The two companies were engaged in a public fight over a contract dispute. AMC told viewers that the network might be dropped from Cable One; the cable company said AMC was asking for an increase of as high as 500 percent -- although the company changed that number through the course of the disagreement.

Friday's agreement ensures broadcast of AMC continues uninterrupted.
