Deer-hunting horror story detailed in MSSU comedy

JOPLIN, Mo. — Southern Theatre will present the comedy of a man whose hunting failures are legend.

"Escanaba in Da Moonlight" tells the story of Reuben Soady, the oldest member of the Soady family to never bag a buck. As the Soady family meets for opening day, Reuben goes to tremendous, humorous lengths in order to get out from the shadow of shame.

Cast members include Jackson Curtright, Shelly Keezer, Moose Leighton, Cameron Lopez, Ryan Odenbrett and Jon Sodoli.

The play will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, Feb. 1.

Tickets: $3, $1 for seniors and students, free for MSSU students, faculty and staff.
