Artists coalition members featured in exhibit

CARTHAGE, Mo. — "What is Red?" is the theme of an exhibition by members of the Joplin Regional Artists Coalition to start Friday in the Hyde House Gallery of Carthage artCentral, 1110 E. 13th St.

The display will open with an artist's reception set for 6 p.m. on Friday.

Wine and hors d' oeuvres will be served; admission is free.

The exhibit will include artwork in a variety of media, each reflecting the theme through the color red.

In addition, JRAC is holding a people's choice award, and the winning entry will receive a cash prize.

After the opening reception, the exhibit will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, through March 9.

Featured artists will include Alice Lynn Greenwood, Andrew Batcheller, April Davis, Becky Golubski, Brenda Haynes, Brenda Segeng, Cheryl Church, Christina Lorenzen, Cindy Head, Dale Auguston, Daria Clairborne, Debbie Reed, Diana Bray, D.J. Bates, Donna Roberts, Doug Lorenzen, Dustin Miller, Helen Kunze, Holly Gomez, Janice Kinman, Jessica Stattel, Jorge Leyva, Karen Brust, Koral Martin, Kristen Girard, Linda Teeter, Margie Moss, Merlen White, Olivia  Givens, Pam Leisenring, Rachel Wilson, Rebecca Perry, Sarah Serino, Steve Binham, Steve Head, Steve Henton, Steve Snyder, Sue Colgin, Sue Drennan, and Tom Jones.
