Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday at highways 10 and 25 in Delaware County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Anita Jones, 45, of Jay, Okla., was flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said. Frank Grippando, 70, of Grove, Okla., was taken by ambulance to Integris Grove General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
The patrol said Grippando was driving a southbound car that struck the driver’s side of Jones’ eastbound car.
n A teenager from Miller was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 2040, a half-mile west of Miller in Lawrence County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Kelsey A. Allen, 17, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.
Allen was driving an eastbound pickup truck that ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned, the patrol said.
n An Anderson resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:50 p.m. Monday on Route DD, three miles north of Noel in McDonald County, the state patrol said.
Albert L. Mitchell, 38, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Mitchell was driving a northbound vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
