MARIONVILLE, Mo. — A 60-year-old Republic man is under arrest after authorities allege he fatally stabbed his ex-wife before trying to kill himself on Thursday.
Robert Duda is in stable condition at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, according to a release from the Marionville Police Department.
According to the release, Marionville police officers responded at 5:01 p.m. to 405 S. Central to investigate a report of a stabbing in process.
Officers found 59-year-old Kathy Duda, of the residence, lying in the front yard. Duda apparently died from multiple stab wounds.
Robert Duda was found inside the home, with self-inflicted stab wounds.
