 Tulsa man dies in traffic accident
The other motorcycle, driven by Timothy C. Osborne, 21, of Carthage, ran off the road and struck a fence, the patrol said. Osborne was taken to Freeman Hospital West with moderate injuries, the patrol said.
n A 24-year-old Joplin man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:13 p.m. Tuesday on Moffet Avenue at Fourth Street in Joplin, according to a Police Department report.
Jeremiah J. Bommarito, 2318 W. Fourth St., was taken by ambulance to an unspecified Joplin hospital, the report said.
Bommarito was riding a westbound motorcycle that was struck by a southbound car driven by Carmen A. Moore, 44, of Carl Junction, when Moore pulled out from a stop sign, the report said.
n A Joplin man was injured when he was struck by a car while walking at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street south of A Street in Joplin, according to a Police Department report.
Charles E. Gifford, 43, was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, the report said.
Gifford was walking southbound along the east sidewalk of Main Street when a car driven by Kimberly A. Shember, 28, of Carl Junction, pulled from a private drive and struck him, the report said.
