GALENA, Kan. — A fire Thursday afternoon that destroyed a rural Cherokee County home also burned about 100 acres of adjacent woods.
The Galena and Baxter Springs fire departments responded to a report at 12:31 p.m. of a fire at the Joseph Yuen home at 8699 S.E. 81st St., about two miles southwest of Galena.
