GOODMAN, Mo. — A flue fire caused heavy damage Friday morning to a two-story home on the west edge of Goodman.
The Goodman, Neosho and Anderson fire departments all responded to the 9:30 a.m. fire at the home of Carol and Dorleen Drake, 181 Route C. Firefighter Dianna Richmond of the Goodman Fire Department said the upstairs of the wood-frame house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.
The occupants of the house noticed the fire and were able to get out safely on their own. No injuries were reported, Richmond said.
The fire caused heavy damage to the house but did not destroy it, she said.
